USA: New York Jets hire first Muslim coach
Robert Saleh becomes the first Muslim to lead an American football team
The New York Jets have announced that they will in principle reach an agreement to hire Robert Saleh that will get him off the ground, the first Muslim head coach to become the history of American football.
The team announced the pending deal in a statement Thursday.
Saleh had been the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers for the past four seasons, reworking the team’s once nondescript defense and turning it into one such converted impressive monster.
